Green Footprint Initiatives

At the heart of our commitment to environmental responsibility, these initiatives showcase our dedicated efforts to minimise our ecological impact, promote eco-friendly practices, and contribute to a greener, healthier planet.

H-Connect is situated within the Hirdaramani Hub, a facility owned by the Hirdaramani Group. What sets this location apart is its commitment to sustainability. The entire building is equipped with solar panels, harnessing solar energy to meet its operational needs. This initiative aligns with the broader sustainability efforts championed by the Hirdaramani Group. By utilising renewable energy sources like solar power, the group underscores its dedication to environmentally friendly practices and ecological footprint reduction. The integration of solar panels not only exemplifies a conscious approach to energy consumption but also reflects the group's proactive stance in contributing to a more sustainable and eco-friendly business environment.

Humanitarian Victories

Celebrating triumphs of empathy, kindness and positive impact. Delve into the heartwarming stories and impactful endeavours that define the essence of compassion, making a lasting difference in the world.

Our HUB teams raised funds in 2022, to equip students from Gataaraluwa Vidyalaya, Balangoda, with essential educational supplies, including stationery, books, school bags, a laptop, and a stereo system. This initiative empowered nearly 73 students, furthering educational access and support.

The "Community Kitchen" initiative was announced under the Hirdaramani Memorial Trust, a noble endeavour that provided nourishing meals to 1,000 underprivileged individuals every third Sunday throughout the year. The H-Connect team passionately contributes to this meaningful service, aligning with our commitment to social support and community welfare.

H-Connect organised the No Kunu Project in 2017, at Beira Lake Market in Fort as a CSR initiative, witnessing remarkable commitment from employees and senior team members. Certificates were awarded to honour their dedication and significant contributions to the project.

As part of our commitment to community service, we participated in Women’s Day celebrations in 2023, organised by the Mahavilachichiya Education Center for Children in Anuradhapura. We donated computers to support the education centre's crucial work in offering free tuition to underprivileged students, uplifting and educating the village's future generation.

In 2019, we embarked on a compassionate initiative to honour the memory of our late colleague. Through united efforts, our team raised funds to complete the construction of a partially built home as part of our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) commitments. With steadfast dedication and generous support from stakeholders, we successfully realised the dream of providing a fully completed home.

Our dedication to social responsibility extends to enhancing the well-being of the communities we serve. We ensure overall workforce well-being and family support through fair wages and comprehensive employee benefits. Recognising the unsung heroes in our workforce during festive seasons fosters a sense of togetherness and appreciation for their invaluable contributions.
